Problems with Microsoft Word not opening

I have Vista and Word 2007. For some reason, today, Word is not opening.
Nor are any of my saved Word documents or emails that have a Word attachment.
Did a "Microsoft Diagnostics" check, nothing. Have rebooted as well and did
an update. Still nothing. HELP!!

Thanks, I forget to mention that I did the cntrl+alt delete option and Word
was not running. Though the window that pops up before the actual Word
document was still on my desktop.
On a side note; tried to reply to the link on the email for "rating this
response" and " to contine receiving notifications for this thread" nothing
happened.

Knightpack, somtimes these links are a bit flaky, hopefully you will get
notification of this reply ;-)
Are you saying all is OK now or your are still experiencing problems? Have
you checked out the other possible solutions/links on this article?
Personally I don't work on Word files (or any other MS apps for that matter)
from the Desktop, as I find that this can cause problems down the road.
