Problems with Mass storage devised and Vista

I have just bought a new computer with Microsft Vista, the problem is that it
does not recognise mass storage devices such as the Archos 504 or a 1Gb USB
flash memory, what is the solution, it works fine on all the Windows XP
computers.

Perhaps Vista simply did not properly recongize it. Did you go to Control
Panel and double click ADD HARDWARE to see if it would be detected and allow
you to install any necessary drivers?

Have you installed all of the updates for Vista from Microsoft Update?
There have been several, including one that is supposed to improve
Vista's USB handling (KB925528).
