Problems with making dvd

Guest

I have made a movie using windows movie maker(probably 1) it will play on
computer. I have made movie using ULead DVD Factory 5 ( 3 times). I will not
play on my DVD. Have made similar movies Using HP Image zone and they work
but do not have the capability of using added music and other addition that
Movie maker has.
Saved movie on regular cd. Any suggestions.
Also how do I get Movie maker 2?

Before attempting to make a VCD or DVD,
be sure to save your finished project as Movie
(.wmv or .avi). The .mswmm file is only the project
file and does not include the source files.

To save as a .wmv movie file...
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next / Next.
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

To save as an .avi movie file...
(and several other options)
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Show More Choices /
Other Settings /
Open the drop window and choose...DV-AVI /
Next /
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

Ok...you are trying to play it on a free standing
DVD Player? And you are using a CD? This
means two things...

1) You must create VCD.

2) Your DVD Player must be compatible with
VCDs (check your documemtation)

Thank you for taking time to answer my questions.
Would it be better if I used a DVD instead of using a CD?
Is there a cost to download the movie maker 2?

If you have a DVD burner and a DVD
Authoring program that's compatible
with the Movie Maker output formats
of .wmv or .avi...I suspect a DVD would
be the best quality.

If you only have a CD burner and the
correct software...at least you could still
create a VCD.

No, it's a free download.
