Problems with Image Quality of Web Pages

I am expreiencing image quality problems with my Internet
Explorer 6 SP1. I don't know why this is happening.
Everytime I go to any webpage with images (GIF, JPG,
ETC), image quality is very poor and sometimes down right
ugly. I already upgraded to the latest version for the
driver of my video card (ATI Radeon 9200SE). Please help
