Local is the currently open Site in FP (from File Open Site)
Remote is the one you are Publishing to (from File Publish)
Either can be your "local" (disc based or PC server based) site, or your online hosted site

| Jim when I have both local and remote visible, I can never tell what is being published!
| Everything always reads changed on local or unmatched. Even though when I publish local to remote only the pages I have changed
are updated.
|
| With the other problem of fp2003 changing what I paste, it never happened to me in fp2002. I have pasted 20 to 30 of the
| same lines on code for Paypal shopping cart code while in fp2002 and not one glitch.

| FP2002 didn't have a Synchronize option. So, if you don't
| like that FP2003 feature, just don't use it.
|
| Publishing from Local to Remote works just like
| publishing in FP2002.

| FrontPage had this behavior as well. In both versions,
| you can avoid it by cutting and pasting in Code view.
