problems with devmgmt.msc

I am having a problem with the device manager. whenever i try to access
it, the mmc crashes. the dev manager is the only one that does it. does
anyone know how to reload or even where the configuration files for the
device manager are logated?

You might want to try C:\Windows\System32 Folder Scroll to devmgmt.msc
See if it works from there. If yes, rt click
and select send to desktop as shortcut.
