Just to clarify, the problem occurs when performing the following steps:
- selecting text
- hitting CTRL+C
- position cursor at destination
- hitting CTRL+V
It doesn't happen every time, but often the result is that a screenshot is
inserted instead of the selected copied text.
This is really frustrating me, I can't seem to work out how to fix it.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you press [SHIFT] AND THE [PRINT SCREEN] button (located above the insert
button), you'll "copy" a screen shot to your clipboard.
Did you try clearing the clip board? You may have saved a screen shot on
the clipboard - and for some reason that little bugger is needing to be in
the spotlight today.
