I installed a program last night called "Trojan Guarder Gold". After
restarting my machine, there has been all kinds of problem with broken
shortcuts not able to find programs. For example, Outlook starts on
bootup, but now it can't, saying there is some invalid command switch,
when I have no commend switch set for Outlook. When I try to start
Excel, it starts ok, but some "warning message" pops up indicating
Windows can't find "Office\Office10\Excel.exe", when Excel.exe is in
"Microsoft Office\Office10" directory. Another example of the problem
is Winzip, which I can start ok straight from the Start menu, but if I
click a ZIP file directly, then select "run Winzip", an error comes up
saying the link doesn't exist.
I have since uninstalled this "Trojan Guarder Gold" program, plus
scanning the machine for virus, but program still exists. Does anybody
have any suggestion about fixing the problem?
