Problems with Autoplay

On connecting my camera or card reader to my USB port I used to get the
usual Autoplay window up 'what do you want to do' open a folder to view the
files, View a slide show etc.
Now I still get the autoplay window up but it is blank, no options.
This is the same for any removeable drives on my machine, eg CD ROM, but
only for pictre files. Music files for example bring up a populated autoplay
window as expected.
This small but annoying problem is driving me nuts.
I have tried Tweak UI and disabling/re-enabling everything with no joy.

there's a small util out there called the autoplay fixer. Google for it.

it'll ensure Shell HW Detection Service is on, and all reg settings are
reset to defaults.
