problems with attachments

Hi everyone,

I'm using Outlook 2003 whenever i receive a .pdf document attached to an
email the icon displays as a word docuement. When I proceed to open up the
attachment Word 2003 launches and I can't read the contents because the file
extension is a pdf document. Can anyone tell me is there a solution for
this? where do I look up in Outlook so the attachment icon is displayed with
the pdf format and not the Word icon. How can I fix this.

Can-so

If you have adobe reader installed all ready and it is still opening with
word then you have a file association issue.
Save the PDF to your hard disk then right click on it and open with make
sure you pick adobe reader, and put the check on the box below "always use
this program"

Mary thanks for your help, but she already has Adobe installed.
