problems with admin tools on xp service pack 2

hi all, i installed the latest admin pack for win server 2003 from the
microsoft site.. on xp service pack 2 pc ..i am trying to admin windows
server 2003 ..when i try to run any snap in like users and computers..i get
the error saying it can not contact the domain....the network is up and i can
see the domain control from the pc in question..i can access files from the
domain controller from the pc..but none of the admin tools excepet the ones
that work on the local pc itself work....thanks for any help...

How's your DNS configured? Is the XP computer looking only at the domain
DNS for name resolution with the DNS server resolving external names and
addresses? If not, that's where you need to be.
