I have installed Outlook 2007 in Vista and imported a big pst file from
anopther pc with Outlook 2000 (Windows 2000 Professional).

Each time I start Outlook 2007 a message says that "a file did not close
correctly" (translation from Italian).

I used SCANPST.EXE to correct the 1,3 GB pst file, the routine found some
errors and corrected them.

Unfortunately the problem persists.

What can I do?

thanks for your help

When you shut down your computer do you close Outlook first? Also verify
that the outlook.exe process actually quits after closing Outlook.

1) yes
2) how can I verify that the outlook.exe quits after closing Outlook? (as a
matter of fact when I used SCANPST.EXE even if Outlook was closed iI got a
message saying that the file pst was used by an application and I had to
restart pc)

Lucia,

"Import?" Not the correct method. First, I recommend that the pst file be
placed in a folder under Documents for easy backup of your data that will
include your pst. Then choose Open from the File drop down menu, then
Outlook Data file.
