problems w Windows xp language bar

I've set up my Windows xp multi-language settings for Hebrew, French
and English. The language bar is usually set to English, but
infrequently I'll set it to Hebrew. That's when the fun begins. When
I'm ready to return to English and click on the language bar to change
from Hebrew to English, invariably the lang. setting will jump back to
Hebrew after a few keystrokes. There've been times when I've reset it
scores of times before it finally goes back to English permanently.

Can anyone think what might be wrong with my settings? Does anyone have
experience with this feature who can tell me whether the problem is
mine or the software's? If there is better software out there to
accomplish this task for me, can someone recommend it?

Is there a way to uninstall the language bar & related lang. settings
so that I can reinstall?

Also, when I switch to Hebrew lang. the keystrokes I type on the visual
keyboard don't register on screen. When I type letters on the actual
keyboard the keystrokes do register. The config for the visual
keyboard is different than for my actual keyboard. Is there any way I
can set it up so that both use the same config?

You might have an inappropriate configuration for your languages
and keyboards. Unders WinXP, you have to define at least one
keyboard for each language. Have a look at my setup shown in the
attachment. I flip regularly between the English and Arabic language,
and between the US and Swedish keyboard, with no problem at
all.

This might also be the cause for your on-screen keyboard not
agreeing with your physical keyboard. At the same time I suggest
that the on-screen keyboard is a crutch at best. If you use both
languages then it would be a good idea to learn to type in each of them.

Postscript: I tried to send this note with an attachment but
the MS news server bounced it. It said that the attachment
was too large (150 KBytes). If you're happy to give me a
valid EMail address then I'll send it to you directly.
