I am unable to send e-mails or save them to draft. I get a message that
says:"The file c:\Documentsand
Settings/PRJ\LocalSettings\ApplicationData\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst
could noit be accessed. Data Error. (cyclic redundancy check).

This seems to have started after a task reminder window opened in the middle
of my deleting some e-mails. When I went to close the window it left partial
blank shape on the screen for while, then everything slowed down. I have
restored back to last night but no help.

I also cannot complete a send/receive. Seems to do the send but not receive.

System seems overall slower too.

I am not particularly system savvy, so hope for something simple.

Search function does not bring up any .pst files on the drive. System log
does show disk errors. What kind of mess am I in? My preferred service guy is
my cousin who lives 1200 miles away so I FedEx the laptop to him for work.
Takes time.

Is the pst-file at the path you indicated at your first post?
Make sure you are including hidden files and folders when doing a search or
browsing to the file.
You can also type in the path in the Address bar in Explorer (minus the
outlook.pst part).

Run a check disk first on your C:\-drive as the article indicates. See if
the errors goes away now. Also, check the health of the hard disk via
Speedfan.
