Problems using Word as Editor - strikethrough

Guest

Using Outlook 2002,
When I try to create a new message as Plain Text using Word as my editor,
the text I type is italicized and strick through. I cannot change the font
to regular font with no strike through. If I change to Outlook as
my editor, I type plain text just fine.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.

What happens when you try changing the font in the Format menu?

The mail format is Plain Text, so I cannot format the font. But the font is
italic and strike through by default, including the signature, when I create
a new e-mail. If I do Plain Text while using Outlook as the Editor there is
NO problem. Only when using Word.

go to tools, options, mail format, fonts and change the font that is set for
italic strike through.
