problems using search for specific text in a file

I am not able to find specific text in files. Have done
some testing with text I know exists. Any suggestions?

if using the 'find' window make sure your drive settings
are correct where you think the file is or 'my computer'
for every drive.

check options under items in left column of 'find' window.
