Windows search inside doc files failed

I want to use Windows SEARCH function to find specific "strings"
inside .doc files.
I specific:

"file name" : *.doc
"type of file": Word Document
"word or phrase in the file field" : test

Search finds nothing !

Even if I specific:

"file name" : *
"type of file": All files and folders
"word or phrase in the file field" : test

Search failed ! I note with file .txt and other types, searching works
fine.

I have Windows XP Pro (5.1) SP1

The 'word or phrase' field only works if the word or phrase appears within
the file exactly as you typed it in (wildcards accepted). If you open a
..doc file in something like wordpad, you will see that the entered text is
not stored such that a simple text search will find it.

in my computer which is Windows XP SP3, it doesn't happen.
