Problems uploading a file from my current web site

I am new to the Front Page program. I wanted to make some minor changes to
our current web site that somebody designed in Front Page. I uploaded the
files from our website, but when I opened them in Front Page 2003 it was all
text and I could not see the actual page. Any ideas of what I may have done
or may not have done?

When you say "when I opened them in Front Page 2003 it
was all text and I could not see the actual page" please
describe that in more detail.

Please also describe your setup. Does the server support
the Front Page Extensions (a set of server side scripts)?
Do you have Front Page on your PC? When you say "I
uploaded the files from our website" please describe in
detail the steps you took to do that.

If your host has the Front Page Extensions installed on
your account you should use the "http" method to publish
the files from the host to your PC. See Front Page help.

Once you have made changes to the site on your PC, you
should publish from the PC to the host, again using the
http method.

You can use FTP but it will "break" the Front Page
Extensions and you will lose whatever functionality you
derive from those extensions (forms handling for one).
