Hi all
My PC has been periodically crashing and now wont start at all. I have the windows xp disk so thought I would re-install, however, I cant get past the licence agreement pages - pressing F8 as instructed dosnt do anything at all.
When I boot up now, I get as far as the windows XP screen and it states "please wait" and nothing. It seems to be frozen at this point. I am left looking at XP logo.
If anyone has ideas about this I would be very grateful.
Thanks

Sounds like the piece of hardware that was failing may have finally gone to the PC graveyard.

What is it? :)

Its a 3 year old Time Pc AMD processor running 1250mHz with a 160gb hard drive, Sorry but I dont know a great deal about these things.

I suspect a dead hard drive though.
