Problems shutting down

N

Nick

I select Turn off from the shutdown list and my computer
nearly properly shuts down, but just before it finally
turns off a blue screen shoots across my screen with some
text text that goes to fast for me to read and then my
computer begins to reboot as it would had I selected
restart.

You also may want to disable the auto reboot setting in
order to read the error. Right Click on My Computer,
Select Properties (left click) then click on the Advanced
Tab. Towards the bottom is a button for Startup and
Recovery settings. Click the button and towards the
bottom remove the check next to automatically restart
(under the system failure section). This may allow you
to see the error (which will be helpful in determining
the culprit).
