Problems running chkdsk on laptop with external drives

Hmmm, that's odd, normally there are legacy settings and boot settings.
Sorry, nothing further for getting chkdsk to work. Have you had a look
to see if there other suitable programs?

I just bought a PCMCIA USB card, plugged it into my laptop and plugged
the hard disk into the card, and chkdsk worked fine. Go figure!
