I have 2-3 computers (all with Windows XP pro) on ~20 computer network
that cannot seem to be pinged by any of the other computers.

They can access the internet fine and they can actually ping the other
computers.

These computers even show up in the DNS and in Active Directory (The
PDC is Windows 2003 Server) with the same ip that is displayed when I
do an ipconfig on them.

I can also see them in the browse on the windows network explorer but I
can't connect to their shares.

I just don't understand how this can happen. Does anyone have any
ideas? I thought it might be some ipsec thing

What error do you get when you "cannot ping" them? Detail here would help.
# If "unknown host" or the like, look for a name resolution issue.

# If "timed out", check for personal firewalls or other security components.
