Problems logging onto Domain?

T

Tim Moore

My computer uses domains to logon to the o/s, I had
recently tried to creat a new network connection with
unchecking the option for "this computer logs onto a
domain". After new connection was made, the computer asked
to be rebooted, without giving me the chance to choose a
User and password. Now when rebooted, the domain option
in the logon screen has disappeared and I have no User
Name and Password to logon to the new network connection.
I have tried my existing User/Pass, but without the Domain
Option, the login information is invalid. My questions
are. How do I login now to undo the new network
connection? Or how do I tell the computer to logon to a
domain, so that my Administer User Name and Password are
valid once again?

Unless you know the password of the administrator when W2K was installed,
you have no alternative than bring this computer back to the domain where it
belongs and ask your system administrator to rejoin it for you.

Onece rehoinde to the domain you can use MultiNetwork
Manager from www.globesoft.com in order to configure
mulitple network configurations. the product will let you
switch between these saved configuration with one click at
boot time just saving so much time and frustration
