Problems launching programs

Two specific programs aren't launching on my new xp pro
install: Mozilla and Norton virus scanner. Both of these
programs seemed to install correctly, but now when I
double click on their icons, they won't launch. I even
found the "target" for the links and they won't launch
from there. Both of the programs ran fine on my home
edition before i installed pro. any advise?
 
Offhand Chad, I'd say you are currently infected with a virus of some sort.
Restart the system in Safe mode, try running your antivirus software there.
