problems installing xp.....

i got the windows xp upgrade and is currently trying to
install it. but evry time i try it sais i have to
uninstall a certian program so i go to add/uninstall
programs and uninstall it i try to install xp again and it
still sais i have to uninstall it.

1) Please reply in newsgroup.
2) Please state the name of the application you are being told you need to
uninstall.
