Problems installing Norton AntiVirus on XP

I recently upgraded to XP and when I tried to install Norton AntiVirus
2004 onto the new XP platform I get a message saying "error 1606".

Does anyone know what this message mean? Would it be an XP problem or a
Symantec issue?
