HI, i got a problem. I have tried to format my harddrive now for a while and
i have not gotten any luck. It says it can not lock the computer because of
some processes.. ( i seem to have many svchost.exe files which operate
simultaneously..) SO i have tried to uninstall programs and running my
Windows XP OEM Home Edition in "malsecure mode" ( you know when u only run a
litte bit of the system [only the most necessary processes] to fix a problem)
but it didn't work either. Now i ain't got a clue how to fix this thing.
/please someone help me!

You sure *you* want to do that? You don't seem like the type that should be
willy-nilly formatting and reinstalling your OS. After all you called "Safe
Mode" "malsecure mode". heh

You cannot format the hard drive the OS is installed on while running the
OS.
Think of it like picking up a rug that you are standing on.

If you are sure you have backed up everything and are ready to clean
install..

Disconnect from any possible way to connect tot he internet.
Boot with Windows XP CD.
When it gets to the part of the setup asking you which partition to install
on - DELETE the partition.
Create new partition(s).
Continue the install.
Turn on the Firewall.
Connect to the internet.
Visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and install ALL critical updates
and patches.
Visit each of the hardware manufacturers web pages for each piece of
hardware in your system and download/install the latest drivers.
Install your favorite AntiVirus.
Install everything else.

yes i understand that you can not format a drive while you are running it..(
the rug thing) and about that malsecure mode thing..: i am swedish and i
couldn't find any "dictionary" for microsoft terms so i splitted the word
into different words and then i got malsecure mode.. Hope you understood
that! /thanks anyways!
