Problems deploying with VS2005 beta 2

Hi guys,
I have a hp iPAQ 2200 series pocket pc (with microsoft pocket pc version
4.20.0 (build 14053).
I am using ActiveSync 3.8.

When i try to deploy to my device (for debugging) I get an error:

"There were deployment errors. Continue?"

If i click yes i get an error that the operation failed..

The description of the error I'm getting states that the currect version of
active sync isn't supported.

My question is which version is supported? From what i could tell 3.8 is the
latest release.

It worked fine with VS2003..
Any ideas?

You need Active Sync 4.0

Are you serious? I have the beta and was thinking to start using it and
thought let me browse the newsgroup first.
Where do you get ActiveSync 4.0, as it seems 3.8 is the latest, or does it
come with the VS beta install? In this case if an app has to be deployed on
a customer site, must the customer have 4.0 as well?

It's a small download (5.8 MB) just do a search.. i installed it (and was
able to deploy my program) without any issues but I've heard there are issues
with syncing via WLAN

Hi !
Did this solved the problem ?
I'm running a TDS with the same version ( 4.20.9 ( Build 13525) ) and I got the same problem. I'n running Active Sync 4.0.
But it works fine om my Qtek phone running Version 4.21.1088 (Build 14235.2.0.0)
and it work fine with VS2003 on both devices.

Any ideas?
