Hi, just wondering if anyone can help. I have been
trying to connect to my isp by setting up a new network
connection. I used the new network connection wizard and
entered all info as instructed. However when I pressed
finish no icon for my ISP appeared in the network
connection box. Also when I go into START menu and
select SHOW ALL CONNECTIONS, none come up even though I
have set one up.

You're running Windows XP Home SP1a and Internet Explorer 6 SP1, right?

So just how do you connect to your ISP.

Modem/ADSL/Cable?

Does your ISP require special software to be installed?

Do yourself a favour and admit that you don't know what you are doing, then
call BT [?] helpdesk.

They know just what is required for their service and will get you up and
running in a heartbeat [or 600].
