Problems connecting to winxp printer from win2000 machine - help please

Steph

We have a small home network of 2 PCs
Mine is winxp prof, and has an Epson inkjet (USB) connected
My wife's is win 2000 prof, and has a Brother Laserjet on a parallel port.

We are both in the same workgroup, both network setups have tcp/ip, file and
printer sharing, client for ms networks and ipx/spx installed.
TCP/ip filtering is off.

Both computers can connect to the internet fine. The win xp computer can see
the Brother laserjet on the win2000 machine and use it as a network printer.
The win xp machine can browse shared folders on the win2000.

However the win2000 cannot browse shared folders on the winxp machine, and
although it can see the Epson inkjet on the winxp machine, it can't install
it as a network printer "Access is denied"

I have set up my wife's login on her machine as a user on the winxp machine,
but the problem persists.

Can anyone please help?? I don't really need to share folders, but I do need
bioth printers accessible from each machine..............
