My son installed some crack and now I get: "There's a problem with the
licence .can't be checked properly. Code 0x80004005"

IN short: I can't start my WIndows XP anymore. Is there a way in which I
still can, ' cause I fear losing all the very important information on my
hard discs.

You might want to try the procedure outlined here.

If you don't have a current backup of your important files, I
suggest you use one of these bootable CDs and backup your files
before you try the procedure outlined in the Microsoft article.
