Hello All,

I have a strange problem, when I boot my PC, sometimes (I can say even
almost all the time) when the WinXP logo with the progress bar is
displayed, the computer reboot. Than the page with the well known
"windows did not shutdown correctly ..... safe mode, safe mode with
network, ... start Windows normally" appears. I choose the default menu
entry "Start windows normally" and now XP loads correctly.

Anyone have an idea on the problem ? where can I find (files ?) where
the problem come from ?

Thanks for your help, it s really frustrating !

IIWY (if I were you <g>) I would try basic maintenance routines to begin
with, such as scan the PC for viruses and spyware, run Disk Cleanup (check
everything except "compress files"), delete all system restore points
(unless this problem started happening after you changed something, in which
case you might want to save your restore points), run a boot time "check
disk" and then defrag the disk. Unless you're aware of specific
circumstances that may have caused the problem I would try this shotgun
approach.
