Hi All,
I've seen this question posted before, but none of the solutions offered
seem to be helping my problem. I have an older PC which is caught in a
re-booting loop. The XP logo appears, then it reboots. It comes up with the
usual "Windows was not properly shut down..."message and offers the choices
of Last known good config, Safe mode, Start normally, etc. None of the
options work.
Some of the suggestions I've tried so far was booting from the CD and using
Recovery console to expand the KERNEL32.DLL file, and uninstalling SP2. Both
of these attempts went smoothly, but neither has resolved the problem.
Any other ideas or suggestiosn would be greatly appreciated. If you need any
specific info, I'll be glad to supply it. Thanks in advance.
