Problem with XP update

Andy

I recently installed the most recent batch of critical
updates for Windows XP Home into my Dell Dimension 8200.
After installation, the computer froze every time I right-
clicked on one of the desktop icons. I removed each of
the updates in turn and isolated the problem to 821557.
The problem is gone when that update is removed, but I
suspect the computer remains vulnerable to the issue
addressed by the update. Does it?
If so, how do I pass this apparent bug in the update on
to Microsoft tech people? When the computer hangs, the
normal option to "send this problem to Microsoft" isn't
available ... so what else can I do to inform them?

Not that I know of, but you may want to keep this update deinstalled.
If it is buggy, a new version will be released for sure.
