You've got nerve posting an executable to a public newsgroup.
<plonk>
| Sounds like your services are probably optimised pretty well.
|
|
| As a quick test try the following......
| Start > run > msconfig > startup > "Disable all"
| (still within msconfig) > services > Check "Hide all Microsoft
| Services" > Disable all
| ok out
| Time the boot up to the login menu. Should be about 30 seconds or so with
| your configuration.
| (Go back into msconfig to reenable them all after)
| If it's a rapid boot then it will show that one of your 3rd party programs
| is the problem.
|
|
| Try running the attached program Startuplist (generates a file in notepad)
| and paste its results in here, (or send me the generated log via email,
if
| you prefer / feel it's particularly sensitive info (the "reply to" address
| in my header is genuine)). This is helpful in gaining a more comprehensive
| list of startup programs.
|
| Another thought....
| Have you recently installed a newer version of Zone Alarm? If so try using
| the previous version.
