Problem with XP Home Edition dial up connection password

While setting up my father in law's brand new Dell desktop today with
XP Home Edition, I used the introductory questions and answers,
including for his dial up connection with AOL. We got the password
wrong, and now I can't figure out how to change the password. I have
tried deleting the dial up connection, and each time Windows changes
the correct password back to the initial wrong one. There seems to be
some override in a master file, and I don't know where to fix it.

I am considering deleting the User Account as one option. Can anyone
help with this?

Thanks,

it's likely that you
can access your AOL
account on the net and
via your dsl line,

instead of manually
having the old modem
dial up aol via the
regular telephone line.
