I have a Dell laptop with windows XP. I have encountered a
serious problem with my word 2000 software. As follows:
I am working on a document. I wish to copy a paragraph
from it to another document. I select the relevant para,
move the cursor to the tool bar, click on edit, then copy.
Then I open the 2nd doc and try and click on edit once
more to get to "paste" etc...In other words the normal
click and [aste [process IO have been using for years..
But infuriatingly, over the past few days, whenever I've
tried to do this, either both documents immediately close
or a Microsoft error message comes up telling me the
document has to close.
I've been to the syetm info section on my laptop and it
tells me that the following error message has been received
"Faulting application winword.exe, version 9.0.0.3822,
faulting module winword.exe, version 9.0.0.3822, fault
address 0x0055599.
"
Can anyone in plain English tell me what this means...and
more importantly what's the best way (simple terms please)
to solve the problem?
Thanks Diarmuid
