Problem with Windows 2000 Backup

Adeyinka

Good day,

I am just trying out windows backup and restore utility
(ntbackup.exe) for our domain controller. I chose the
system state and sysvol folder and after restoring to
another computer with same specification(except for RAM
size and CD-ROM Drive speed), I get a blue-screen with the
following;
STOP: 0x0000007B
(0xF401B84C,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)
INACCESSIBLE_BOOT)DEVICE

I am hoping someone can try to help me out with this
because it also occurs if I backed up the system state
only.

Also what are the restore options to use when restoring
i.e. do not replace data if already on HDD, replace only
if older or always replace data because I have tried with
both the first and last option but not with the middle
option.

Thank you very much in advance.

Adeyinka.

Did you boot to Active Directory Restore mode to do the restore?
