Problem with wallpaper?

Hi,

I seem to have a problem with any wallpaper I try choosing; it won't
display. It shows fine in the 'Display Properties' window, but it does not
display on the actual desktop. Instead, it shows my background colour.

I don't even have Active Desktop activated, I think... can anyone help??

did u have the picture on the computer then removed it
later. It could be that it is showing up because it was
once there but is not now. That happened to me before.
