Problem with TweakI

Hi,

I have Windows XP Home installed with two accounts, one Administrator and
one User (which I use on a day-to-day basis). I recently installed the
Windows XP PowerToy TweakUI and used it to set my computer to log straight
into my user account. However, when I then changed the password on my user
account I forgot to change it on the TweakUI tool before turning my computer
off. Now, whenever I turn my computer on it attempts to log straight into my
user account as before but has the wrong password and so just stalls on the
blue welcome screen, without offering my the chance to input the correct
password.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Any help is much appreciated,

While the welcome screen is displayed, press ctrl-alt-del twice to get the
classic logon prompt. Enter your user name and password to log on and then
make the change in tweakui. BTW, setting to auto logon to a password
protected account negates any security the password offers. Might as well
remove the password altogether.

David,

Press and hold the SHIFT key just before the Welcome Screen appears. This
disables automatic logon for that session. The logon to your user account by
typing the correct password, and then setup automatic logon again with the
new password.

There's a reason to leave the password in place even if TweakUI keeps it.
That reason is to permit schedulers to run properly; some will not run if
the account does not have a password - this is a security feature.
