I'm trying to move my files and settings from an old XP
computer to a new XP computer using the Files and
Transfer Wizard. When I go into the Wizard on my old
computer and try to designate my CD-RW drive (F:) as the
removable media it does not show up as an option in the
bar, only my A: drive and two card readers. What am I
doing wrong? I thought it was supposed to be a simple
matter to move files and settings from one XP machine to
another if both had CD-RW drives.

Step by step instructions are here: "FAST Wizard"

In particular, the section headed "How to Collect Data From Your Existing
Install". This tutorial was written by MVP Gary Woodruff.
