Problem with tracked changes

Hi,

I have two files that I am trying to save as "final" rather than "final
showing markups." I change it to "final," save the file, then reopen the
file and it opens with final showing markup listed (but no markups). Any way
to get it to stay as "final"?

Hi Steve

In a word, No.

These settings are *views* that will vary from session to session.

If what you are trying to do is save the file so that others cannot see the
tracked changes, you need to accept all the changes (save a copy of the file
if you wish to keep the changes in your own copy).

Alternatively, if you need to set the view when a particular document opens,
you could use an 'AutoOpen' macro. (Record a macro of the view change, store
it in the document, and rename it as AutoOpen).
