Problem with the "computer browser" service.

Hi,

I am able to ping and see other computers on the network using the
command line, but when I try to browse them in "My Computer" (or other
places in the shell) it times out with a message that I do not have
permission to browse the workgroup or something like that. The network is
set up correctly, and I am the only one with this problem. The others on
the network can see me fine.

I then found out that the "computer browser" service needs to run on my
computer. It wasn't, But when I try to run this service it starts and the
stops again with the message: "The Computer Browser Service on Local
Computer started and then stopped".

What could be wrong with the computer browser service since it won't run,
and how could I fix it?

Thank you in advance for help.
