Problem with synch between iPAQ h2200 and Outlook 2000

John

I have encountered a problem with the synchronisation between my handheld HP
iPAQ h2200 and desktop running Outlook 2000 (9.0.0.2711) via Microsoft
ActiveSync 3.7.1 (build 3244). When trying to synch, a large (1000+) number
of calendar events were reported as not being synched. I asked the program
to do so, but it came back with a number of items to resolve. All were
calendar events involving people who are no longer with the company. It
appears likely that the desktop was offline when attempting the first
synchronisation. I also have a number of calendar events duplicated. One
event is as expected, the duplicate has the same content but lists me as the
organiser and only attendee.

Can anyone suggest an approach to bring everything back in line again ?

TIA
John.

All your software is very outdated with no updates installed. Is there any
reason for that?

Unfortunately, I have what our IT department deem appropriate for my needs !

Other software includes Win2000, Excel 97, etc.

You can manually resolve each missing contact, but that's a real pain. You
can also delete the events that reference those missing contacts.
