Ipaq 114, Vista and Outlook 2003

I cannot transfer Calendar data from my Ipaq 114 to Outlook 2003. Tasks works
fine , as does Contacts, but no joy with Calendar.
I have had various error messages, the most common being " Sync error :
ActiveSync encountered a problem on the desktop" and " Microsoft Outlook has
stopped working.A problem caused the program to stop working
correctly.Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is
available ( It doesnt!)
I have spent hours on the phone with Hp, to no effect. They eventually
suggested a hard reset which wiped all the data on my Ipaq. Even this did not
work ! ( Fortunately all my data was backed up)
This morning I have yet again tried to sync, and it has wiped all my
Calendar data from the Ipaq.
I am running out of ideas-and patience.
Help, please!

What version of Windows and what version of ActiveSync? The correct place to
ask this type of question is microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync, since
Outlook contains no settings that control the sync process. It's all
ActiveSync (or WIndows Mobile Device Center for Vista).

Tried that - many times!
I have also tried uninstalling and re-installing both Outlook 2003 and WMDC.

Unfortunately, unlike ActiveSync, WMDC doesn't seem to have a newsgroup. I
don't use WMDC, so I can't suggest anything else.
http://www.windowsmobiletraining.com/ has forums that may discuss WMDC, so I'd
check there.
