Problem with slide transition with background music

Hi, can anyone help me. I am creating a presentation with
a song playing the background. I have set all the
settings of it to play continually until after so many
slides, etc. and have even rehearsed timings for my
presentation. HOWEVER, the slide imediatly preceeding the
slide with sound will not advance automatically as
rehearsed, only on a click. What am I doing wrong? Can
anyone help me?

You can turn timings on before running the presentation.

On the Slide Show menu, click Set Up Show.
Under Advance slides, click Using timings, if present.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

By default an inserted sound will play for the current slide only. To get a
sound to play for more than the current slide you have to adjust the
animation settings for the sound.

PowerPoint 97 & PowerPoint 2000:

A very cool option in PowerPoint 97 is the Custom Soundtrack add-in. The
PowerPoint Custom Soundtrack Add-in allows you to add
electronically-generated background music to your slide shows. You can
install this add-in from the following folder on the Office 97 compact
disc:

<drive>:\ValuPack\MusicTrk

If you have installed this add-in with PowerPoint 97 and have then upgraded
to PPT 2000 or PPT 2002 you can continue to use the add-in by using the
instructions in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base articles:

If you (or anyone else reading this message) have suggestions as to how
PowerPoint might change it's features for playing "background" sound, don't
forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
