Hello,

I have a problem with my SIL 0680A PATA-card. When I connect an IDE
harddrive to the card, Vista wont boot up. When I disconnect the harddrive
everything works as normal. It's very annoying because I dont want to throw
away my old harddrives.

Anyone have a solution to this problem?

Please post the exact error message or symptoms you see. It is most likely
the BIOS causing the problem. You may have to specify the boot order for the
hard drives in the BIOS. Some BIOS' don't have this option and will always
boot first from an IDE drive instead of a SATA drive. If you tell us exactly
what you see we can determine if it's a BIOS problem or a Windows problem.
Both can be worked around but we need to determine which it is.
