Problem with signatures in Outlook 2000

If Word is used as email editor the option for auotmatic signatures is greyed
out. How do I fix this?
 
Set your email signature for WordMail in Office 2000 by creating a new AutoText entry in Word named E-mail Signature. See http://www.slipstick.com/wordmail/sig.htm#ol2000
