Problem with scrolling

Nick Piazza

I have developed an interesting problem with scrolling
lately. Whenever I click on the scroll bar on the right
hand side of a window, I scroll down about 2 screens worth
of material instead of one. This happens in all windows
and only when I click on the scroll bar. No problem when I
use the page down keys. Does anyone know how to reset the
scroll bar so that it scrolls down one window's worth at a
time? Please send responses to (e-mail address removed).
Thanks for your help.

Hi

I would think you got this effect from the security update MS03-048/KB824145.
Microsoft is aware of this problem with KB824145 and looking into it.

Hi Nick Piazza,

In microsoft.public.windowsxp.general you remarked...

I believe some users have been suffering the same complaint after
installing "Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 SP1
(KB824145)". You can try uninstalling it using "Add or Remove Programs"
(look for 'Internet Explorer Q824145) to see if it fixes things, but it is
advisable to persevere until they patch it.

Torgeir,

Thanks for getting back to me. I did, in fact, just
install some updates from Microsoft. I will look into the
bulletin you recommend.
