Problem with scrollbar format

I started making a website but ran into trouble making the scrollbar do what
I want it to. I am using a frames page, the banner and contents one. I know
that I can put scrollbars into each individual frame, but I want one
scrollbar that goes through both the banner and the main frame. Essentially,
I want one scrollbar that runs through the entire page and not individual
scrollbars for each of the three frames (the banner frame, side frame, and
main frame). I don't know if this is possible, but I would really appreciate
it if someone could advise me on what to do! Thanks!

Drop the frames.

Add the banner and side frames to the contents pages using FP includes.
See "Add an Included Content Web component to a Web page" in FrontPage
help.

Thanks, you really saved me there. But can I only "Add an Included Content
Web component to a Web page" if my webpage is up and running already? I
don't have a web host yet, as my web page is not completed. Sorry, I'm a
real newb at this >_<

No, you don't need a web server to see the included content pages working.

It is a "design time" element, so you'll see the included page in design
view/preview/preview in browser immediately. If you want to edit the
included page, double click it in the page it is included in, and it will
open in FP. Make the changes, and save, and the changes are reflected in
the page(s) using the included page(s).

Note that if your server (eventually) runs FP server extensions, you only
need to publish the included page when you make changes, for all pages using
that include page to be updated.

If your server is not running the FPSE, then you need to republish *all*
pages using the included page to see the changes to the include page on all
the pages using it.

Do you have Windows XP Professional?

If so, install IIS on your machine, and publish to http://localhost - this
is like a web server and will allow you to see your site "in action" without
being published live. It lets you see many of the fp components working
(with a few exceptions e.g. forms that use the FP form webbots to send email
for example).

The main problem I'm having with adding an included content web component to
a web page is that when I go to insert and then web component and included
content, the only option I can click on is "substitution." All the other
options, such as page and page banner are all shaded and I can't click on
them. I'd really appreciate it if you could tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks!

You must have a web created and open before working on pages.
